Re: Panspermia
It's in the N-SPACE collection of short stories and extracts. In the same book is "Bordered in Black" which explores the same theme with a much darker and pessimistic outlook.

Re: Post Bugs Here
It appears there are no extra-galactic stars, pulsars, etc in Celestia. Is this correct? They all seem to be in the Milky Way.
If not, why not. Is the issue positional accuracy over those distances, or what?

Selden,
are you sure you meant 20km/sec/sec, and not 20m/s/s?
That's 2000G's and if you kept that up for long, it would take a hell of a lot less than 200days for the journey!

Re: Keeping Customisations-What's lost on installs/un-installs?
Excellent, That should make for a happy new year! I suspect most of my problems stem from when I first started using Celestia some addons didn't install properly, so I started unzipping into a different location and then moving things into directories manually. So I probably got it wrong sometimes. ...

Re: Keeping Customisations-What's lost on installs/un-installs?
In my experience, a lot of things such as AltSurfaces will only work if placed in the solarsys.ssc file in the Celestia/Data folder. As Celestia's written in an object oriented language, I was thinking...how hard could it be to make it treat it's original definition files in the Celestia and Celesti...

Keeping Customisations-What's lost on installs/un-installs?
I recently installed 1.4.0 and shortly afterwards had some problems with frame-rates to the point that it became unusable. The day-night shadow had a jagged edge and FPS was about 0.6. (I'd also installed a few alternative textures for earth etc...) I wasn't sure if the problem was due to 1.4.0 inst...
