Hi all,
Love this program, I find it fascinating. I have a time zone question. Is there a way to view the time in Celestia in another time zone or offset that is not your local time or UTC? I know it can be calculated by simple math, but was just wondering if it was possible or planned.

Re: Problem reading DDS files
Thanks Seldon for all the help and replies. Much appreciated. :) Well, that second link you provided works grand. Hmm, I'm not sure what to think. (rgvmars-dds.zip). I inserted all of the files directly into the program as it said. However, it has replaced Mars with "RGBMars", which I gather is what...

Problem reading DDS files
Well, I think I have my add-on problem solved. I could load Earth's 12 months of the year (which is awesome, BTW), but when I when to download "Green Mars", I don't get anything. My theory is that my computer can't read DDS files for some reason. I just get a grey globe on the "Green Mars" alternate...

Another newbie with add-on questions
I'm having a similar problem as smjjames. I'm also new to Celestia. I've tried to add add-ons from the Motherlode and cannot get the Don Edwards "Pale Blue Dot" DDS files to load. How do you load them. I've placed one so far in "medres" file, and so far...nothing. Also, I'm having trouble with Jestr...

Re: Setting to other than local time zones?
I couldn't find anything that specified the time zone in the celestia.cfg file... It seems to take the local time zone from your OS' clock settings - if I changed the time zone there and then relaunched Celestia then the time zone shown in "Show Local Time" changed to the new one. So I'd suspect th...

Setting to other than local time zones?
Hi everyone, I just downloaded this wonderful program. Wow! is all I can say. I'm definitely a newbie so far. After enjoying Google Earth for a while now, this is just great, though I know it's not satellite photos, at least at high resolutions. At any rate, one of the things I find so fascinating s...
