Re: Celestia not compiling

gcc 3.4.4 works just fine for me. I'm running on a x86_64 system though. Since I've also compiled Celestia on a x86 Gentoo machine with gcc 3.4.4, it does seem like your system is somehow borked. Are you sure you have your entire system compiled with gcc 3.4.4? The 3.4.x series didn't become stable ...

Re: Celestia not compiling

Your emerge --info seems ok. Have you actually tried re-emerging media-libs/jpeg ?

I guess you could also try running "revdep-rebuild" to check for broken dependancies.

Re: Celestia not compiling

Hi. Are you using portage for compiling? Using emerge should solve all dependancy related problems. I've never had any problems compiling different versions of Celestia in Gentoo. Could you post your "emerge --info" for troubleshooting? Have you posted this in the Gentoo forums ? You might get bette...

Re: Opening menus freezes Celestia

I may have found a fix for this bug. I started working with the source code and found out out that calling the function getOpenGLInfo() in kdeapp.cpp causes the "Help -> OpenGL Info" menuoption to fail and freeze Celestia. This seemed odd since getting OpenGL info works just fine with the gtk versio...

Re: Opening menus freezes Celestia

I just compiled the latest CVS using --with-gtk and the program doesn't hang while accessing the before mentioned menu options. I also managed to compile the KDE version of Celestia on a x86 Gentoo Linux machine which has the same version gcc and kde as my own. The freezing does not occur with that ...

Re: Opening menus freezes Celestia

I have the same problem on the Linux version using: - (Open)Suse v10.0 (although I had exactly the same on v9.3) - AMD 3700 - NVidia G-force 6600 GT (dual DVI) clone (XFX) - using KDE 3.4.2 Level "b" - 1GB of RAM (43% free, 66MB free physical memory when running Celestia) Whenever I choose 'Setting...

Re: Red Planets with OpenGL2.0

I'm also getting some red planets with OpenGL 2.0 after upgrading to the latest Nvidia linux drivers (1.0.8174). For some reason only Earth, Pluto and it's moon seem to be affected. ~/shaders.log Vertex shader source: 1: uniform struct { 2: vec3 direction; 3: vec3 diffuse; 4: vec3 specular; 5: ...

Re: Program quits when going to Settings... Configure Celestia

Hi. I seem to have the same problem. Celestia just hangs when I try to access "Configure Celestia", "OpenGL Info" or "Set Time". The problem occurs in all Celestia versions I've tried (1.3.2/CVS/FT1.1 all compiled from source). Apart from this problem my Celestia works flawlessly. My specs: AMD Athl...
