Help to make a (fairy complex) planetary system from scratch
Hi! I want to make a fictional addon, a star system composed by a binary white dwarf (a pair orbiting a common barycenter), and one of the planets should be a quadruple planet (four earth-sized planets orbiting a barycenter) in the habitable zone. I pretend to add another planets in future, but for ...

@Janus
In fact a minor form of this glitch happens in the latest x64 build in BinTray, but only the Sun flicks.

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread
Oh i'm currently using celestia-5441-RaDecDist-Fix.7z from Janus with Celestia 1.7 data, and sometimes when rotating bodies in outer solar system (aka a Planet Nine extra i have) the stars sometime flicks. I got this bug in two machines: a desktop with AMD RX 560 GPU (drivers updated) and a laptop w...

How can i install Janus's forks? Particularly the 100 billion LY limit? Should i get the data .zip from the celestia build repository?

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread
Interesting. I think for it happen a full transition to x64 will be obligatory. And other efficiency changes to data file consuming to load so much data.

THANKS A LOT!
Added after 3 minutes 44 seconds:
Anyway i created a GH issue addressing this (althrough in Wikipedia they also say this star is a G3, dunno what is correct).

Is possible to override the type via an extra, just like we do with any SSC file?

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread
I wonder if one day Celestia would be capable to handling Gaia's full catalog (and other probes cataloging other objects)

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread
Thanks for the new build onetwothree! Just one thing i noticed on the updated data files: The dwarf planets added by this commit are duplicated by the entries on asteroids.ssc (Ceres) and outersys.ssc (Haumea, Eris and other TNOs). What is the most accurate and what about merge the changes in the fi...

Help creating an atmosphere
Hi!
I'm trying to make a fictional earth-sized ice planet, and i want to replicate this atmosphere:
According to this document i need to use Rayleigh paramenter but i'm clueless about how to reproduce that.
Can someone help me?

Re: Planet Nine redefined orbit
In fact i just throw a scenario on that subreddit (its all about hypothetical scenarios and the impact on society and science).
Anyway here is my take on this fictional P9. Sadly the textures are bad, i got them on google because i dont have photoshop right now:

But is this the original orbit prediction or the new one of the links?
