Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
t00fri, I absolutely endorse the words of john71, and I think you could have a little bit to help the project in the current issues (eg issues on GitHub), which we can not do due to lack of knowledge.

John Van Vliet, The New standard code is here: https://github.com/CelestiaProject/Celestia
Builds for Windows from this code have audio support in the cel and celx scripts, but Celestia sometimes crashes(

Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
We would need a clear schedule for that. Good idea, but who would get that money? The programmers we don't have many at all? Why schedule? All who have the opportunity, make a cash contribution when they can. For this we need some kind of platform. We will collect a sufficient amount, then hire a f...

Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
john71 , All the same, the development of Celestia code is very important. Without this, the project will not fully develop. Seriously, the 64-bit version has already been made, small changes have been added, but there will be no more changes in the code until there are programmers. The old team of...

Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
john71, you can not see? On these "wonders" everything stopped. No one else can change. Maybe JohnVV for Linux changes and adapts, but for Windows, everything that they could have done.

Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
john71 , Alexell will not be able to make big changes, he wrote about it. The minimal changes that he made were made with the help of Leserg, and the 64-bit version helped to make dbrant. So once again I repeat: the main problem of the project development is that there is nobody to develop the proj...

Re: New 64 bit 1.7 version suggestions and bugs
Joe, Probably you need to remove FMOD and make OpenAL, or even remove support for audio.

Re: locations of code and builds for 1.7
John Van Vliet, Do you have a Linux + SPICE version of the working class with the latest GitHub code?
And why do not you work mostly in the Celestia repository? You can join forces

Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
I'm certainly glad that you have outlined ideas for improving Celestia, but I did not talk about it. Do you know that there is no one to improve it? That's what it's about! Anyone have any ideas? Can hire freelancers? P.S. Celestia binary files on the link that I gave can not be published for downlo...

Re: CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
john71 , If you followed the changes to the source code, as well as some Alexell resources, you would know that Celestia x64 for Windows already exists . Moreover, I found out where the C elestia binary files are located, which are compiled from the GitHub code via AppVeyor. Link: https://apps.alex...

CELESTIA IN THE FUTURE
Hello! For a long time I was not on the forum and back, what do I see? Alexell stopped often visiting the forum, there was no change in the source code since April 2017, the new site has not been launched yet ... :fie: What do you think is the future of Celestia? The point is that we do not ha...
