Re: Lookie here!.
Sorry to bump the thread like this but i've been tinkering with Celestia to give Blue Venus a moon (vital if it was ever Terraformed), called Dialuna (was supposed to be Dioluna, didn't realise until i looked on the thread where i got it from). The Pic was taken 300,000 KM from Venus' surface and 30...

Question...
Would a 50 mile asteroid, with the same albedo as the Moon, be visible from 250000 Miles (400000 KM) away in a dark sky?. And if so what would it's magnitude be?.
Sorry if this post doesn't make sense, i couldn't think of a way to put it.

A question about nearby stars...
According to Wikipedia, in 1.4 million years time, the star Gliese 710 will be 1.1 light years from the Sol system, my question is, what will be the star(s) that will approach the closest to the Sol system in the next 250 million years :?: . Sorry if the question doesn't make sense, i could'nt think...

I'd thought i'd post a transit of Earth been occulated by Runar Thorvaldsen's Blue Venus as seen from Mercury in 2133. As you can see Venus has darker water than earth but still looks brilliant. If it looks a little strange it's because i've tilted it to 25 degrees and i've set the rotation to 48 ho...

Re: So, 12 planets eh?
Captain-insane, I would take the size of asteroids down to about 400 miles or so. The simple reason is that this would put Ceres back into the Asteroid catagory. Ceres is a very different objet than the rest of the Asteroids. So as I said, if the body has enough mass to make to make it spherical th...

Planet: 2500 miles (4000 KM) in diameter to 13 times the mass of Jupiter. Brown Dwarf: 13 Jupiter mass to 83 Jupiter mass. Star: 83+ Jupiter ma...

Question about earth...
I've read somewhere on the net that if Earth was orbiting in the same orbit as Mars does today, it would still be warmer than Mars, unforntunaly it did'nt say how much warmer . How warm or cold would Earth be at that distance .
