Re: The Milky Way
I'm probably going to make myself another high-profile enemy  . Toofri, while I do agree that the question was a wee bit absurd (of course we could, given enough time, map and render the whole galaxy, it's wrather like the monkeys and their typewriters with Shakespear), you seem to have..........

Re: The next step...
Forgive my undoubtedly asinine query, but is it confirmed that 1.4 will be realeased? If so, I think I might wet my pants.

Re: Possible Problems with Celestia and Windows Vista!
Let me phrase the question clearer, Mr. Edwards (and I do not say that sacastically, but with all due respect) and others:
What is the best alternative to Microsoft?
This way, I can take care of my question quicker (I have no desire to hijack your thread, Mr. Edwards)

Re: Possible Problems with Celestia and Windows Vista!
OK, I promise this will be my last annoying off-topic post. Were can I get tons of UNBIASED info (including comparisons to Windows) on Solaris and Mac OS X? :) EDIT: Ok, I looked at Sun's website, but I'm confused. Is Solaris for the home computer user? It seems to be useful to businesses only, and ...

Re: Alt. looks for Pluto and Charon?
Ok, I used Jens for pluto and jestr for Charon. But jestr's charon just has the image, no bump map. Is this going to cause problems when I switch up the texture files fo Charon? Oh, and what exactly DO I do with Bump Maps? Where do i put them, what are they for?

Re: Alt. looks for Pluto and Charon?
8O ....Jesus....H.........Christ..... I'll be sure to shut up from now on. Just point me to some alternate textures (I already know about the Ganymead(sp?) ones, but didn't like them aesthetically(sp?)) and I'll be sure to stay FAR in the background of the forum, from now on. Seriously, I didn't hav...

Alt. looks for Pluto and Charon?
I know this probably sounds just a bit whiney, but is there any alt. textures for Pluto and Charon? They look pretty silly as they are now (well, IMHO, at least).
