I'm making an add on of a planet that I am making up. Do I need to make a model of the planet, and if so, what should this model contain? SHould it just be a simple sphere and nothing else, or is it more complicated than that?

I've begun my first add-on project. I will be working on Sedna, or 90377. If anyone has any tips or something to help me along, that would be great. Thanks
