Hi - Can I ask for the following question to be submitted to the FAQ? "How do I enable Virtual Textures - for example the California section?" The problem is that the installation instructions supplied with the VT downloads are very vague and most say put them in the "/BlueMarble DDS/textures/hires/...

I think the problem was installing the new version over the old one. I then removed Celestia completely and did a clean install, which cured it.

I have a GeForce3 running NVidia drivers (but it's not VNidia branded). Does that count?

I'd still like to know what to do with a DDS file - I downloaded it and dropped it in the Textures\HiRes directory but it doesn't seem to work...

They look really fantastic.

I'm not that new to Celestia but have never looked into textures so I'm not sure what 8k.dds, 4k.dds, 2k.dds mean. Are they to do with resolutions? And if so, why bother with lower resolutions (maybe for lower powered PC's?)

I've been getting texture corruption in both the previous and latest versions of Celestia. A condensed screenshot: http://www.mybit.plus.com/temp_texture.jpg Not only does the light/shadow border look odd, but when I rotate the view the texture flickers. I have the latest drivers for my LeadTek WinF...

No sign of the new version yet?

Is anyone aware that none of these pictures / links work?

I'm looking for bigger/better textures but it's really hard to find them!
