Re: Celestia add ons
Well, normally you would unzip those files into the EXTRAS folder. But some other add ons require to place files manually.

Yeah, it's great when such apps let you see what you always dreamed or what you imagined. I don't use Celetis to visualize, but Orbiter. Here it is a I made to Mars base. http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/4742/olympus053ra.jpg And this is a fix to moon base http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7667/b...

As far as I know educational CFG changes directory references. So you might have to edit CFG to bring it back to normal.

Re: Orbiter vs. Celestia
Remember I said I'd try to become a teacher? Well, I got to do it. I am in carge of some workshops that take place after normal lessons. One of them is the most crazy one you could think of. It's a workshop where I am teaching primary school kids about how to pilot using Orbiter. Many people told me...

Orbiter vs. Celestia
I know comparing Celestia and Orbiter is a bit like comparing apples and tomatoes.
But it seems interesting to me that kids love Orbiter, while adults love celestia.
I expected exactly the opposite.

Milky way is a barred spiral
See http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8972222/
We already knew it was a spiral, but what we didn't know was that it was a barred spiral.

Weird colors of planets
I installed Celestia in some computers at school to make a test, before I could show it to kids. but colors look weird, quite colorful, shadows go red, other planets go yellow. I ran a display test using DX diag. Report goes as follows. ------------------------ ------------------ System Information ...

Add automation
I came to an idea... Add ons are mostly scripts, meshes and textures. I may suggest to make an automation app. Right now I am working on a scenario creator for Orbiter. I got to understand how to build scenarios and I am making an app. I figure myself that something similar could be done for Celesti...

Once I was warned about a virus that might eat food in the fridge, leave women pregnant and steal the car keys... It also would change earth orbit if you open the email.
