Re: FINAL release of new Mercury model DONE!!
I think I love you, you know? heh ;) Well, I love your models so I'm happy to assist. :) Now of course I want to know what do PrecessionRate and EquatorAscendingNode... ...because I was really far away to use those commands... Can you tell me? (or someone else for sure because you have done more th...

Re: FINAL release of new Mercury model DONE!!
Sundog, I don't know how react the meshcenter command in that case, but it's not the desired effect... I misunderstood what you wanted, the model was slightly eccentric about its axis, MeshCenter fixes it. I could be wrong again, but see if this is what you are looking for. "Liberty Bell 7&quo...

Hello, Try this. I added the MeshCenter command. Yes and no; yes some drawings, but not enough photos so it would be a real hard task to model a decent interior...
It's ok I was (half) joking, and I know you have more than enough work to do already.

Atronaut - coming soon(ish)
Hello, Inspired by the wonderful Atlantis model by ElChristou I've got back into modelling after a 2-3 year break, and began work on this little creation. http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3982/eva3we.th.jpg This is my biggest project to date and is taking quite some time. I'm not a very good model...

ElChristou, your working too fast, I can't keep up... ;) Truely fantastic work. What a stange shot!! There is a support for Canadarm on the right side of the payload 8O (at the left on the pict)... I think the support is for the "boom" used in SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission). As for your fla...

Re: Model size limit ??
Anim8or generates an error message and refuses to output an individual mesh in 3DS format that has more than 64K points in it. I don't know if that's an Anim8or restriction or a limitation in the definition of the format. Of course, a model usually consists of many meshes. I came across this proble...

Re: Driver problem - anisotropic filtering
I couldn??t see any rippling. ... I couldn??t see any clear difference putting the AF on or off. If that's true then you don't need to worry about the AF. Leave it turned off for better performance. I made my own 32k Mars Normal-Map (m46 topo) and my own 32k Earth Normal-Map (SRTM30). I have exagge...

Here http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/~ssa/docs/S ... eral.shtml it states the length as 122.17 feet = 37.23 metres.
So shouldn't it be: Radius 0.037
I'm no ssc or spacecraft expert so could be wrong.

Ah, my appologies ElChristou,
I've only done a little modelling and it looked like the effect of one of "my" uneven surfaces.
My mistake, sorry.

Well done ElChristou, you've done a marvelous job with Atlantis, I love the detail. Some strange shadows on the wings when the light come from the front of the model... This is an earlier problem, so to solve it I need (perhaps) to redo the entire body... Those "strange shadows" on the wings are jus...

Many Tx for the urls... Your welcome. I never saw a model using this option... is there one? I've not seen one, but Huygens was attached to Cassini and you could select and go to either one. I have tested with the Moonbus by Frank Gregorio. I copied the ssc and called it "moonbus-cockpit", made the...

Re: Driver problem - anisotropic filtering
But what??s the difference, visually,in Celestia, between with and without anisotropic filtering? Daniel, The effect of anisotropic filtering is really most noticable with high resolution textures, such as 16 or 32k VTs. Even more so with high contrasting detail (such as shadows on a light coloured t...
