Re: AmigaOS4 version of Celestia released

I wish I had a 4.x AmigaOS machine.

I used to have an A4000, but now, I only have an A1200.

Some of my buddies do have AOS 4.1 and I'll definitely let them know!

Re: 3Dconnexion Space Navigator Support?

I've been using the Spaceball 5000 USB (and many previous devices before) to control the NX CAD software.

I also have the Space Navigator, and it's a pretty cool device as well.

I know that Google Earth supports these devices (at least the USB ones).

Since anything that can be abused, will be abused... well I guess it came down to this...

I also agree. This is a good way to keep things sane.

Re: AntialiasingSamples 4 in cfg file causes hangup

I had that problem with the 53.xx drivers for my Quadro FX Go1000 card.

Problem solved updating to the 61.xx drivers..

I now use AntialiasingSamples 4 with no problems.

Re: brings back memories!

Very interesting topic, and I thought I was the only one...

I'm running The Halley Project on my WinUAE, Amiga emulator, and it works just like on the regular Amiga.

I used to own the A1000, A2000 and A4000. Now, I just run my laptop with the emulator on top.

Re: Good Luck to MER-A "Spirit"- get the xyz here!

Jack,

You might want to add a RotationPeriod of 0.008333 to Spirit (that will match the 2 RPM rotation).

Re: Brand new NEAR spacecraft model & ssc to position it

Jack,

Wonderful stuff on your website. However, it tells me that it does not look good in anything but IE 4+.

Well, it looks identical in my IE6 and Netscape 7.02.

Re: I'M SO HAPPY!

What about heat issues. How hot do those drives run. I have read that they run alot hotter than 4200rpm drives. This would concern me because there is really not alot of room for heat disapation in there. Most of the Dell Insspirons that I checked out have 20gig IBM drives but mine came with a 20gi...

Re: I'M SO HAPPY!

Ill have to look into getting one of those....With a GF4 in there you should also be able to play just about any game on the market... I was able to do over 100 fps in Quake III Arena with the GeForce4 440 Go and over 60 fps at the LCD native resolution of 1600x1200. That was significantly faster t...

Re: I'M SO HAPPY!

Don,

You should try a 5400 RPM Hard Drive in that computer... you should see it fly then. I have a 40 GB IBM in it right now and a 48 GB IBM as a "spare".

It makes a big difference compared to the standard 4200 RPM ones.

Here, here...

I'm one of those people with an i8100 that upgraded to the 64 MB GeForce4 440 Go from the 32 MB GeForce2 Go. Yup, there is a significant difference in performance.

I still have my GeForce2 Go card if anyone needs one...

Re: 1600x1200 32bits DISPLAY MODE NOT PRESENT!

Indeed there is no 1600x1200x32, which coincides with my native laptop resolution. I have to limit the display to 16-bit for full-screen, which is not bad.

I'm not sure why there would be such a restriction...
