Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
3 recommendations for the book, and none for the original radio play, so I guess I'm definitely reading the book. Thanks, guys! ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Well, the book that I have contains all the books in the series, so I'll be sure to do so. Thanks for the suggestion! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

This is pretty irrelevant, too, but didn't The War of the Worlds begin with green "meteors?" ![Shocked 8O](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Re: Earth Magnetic Field Reversals
Well, now that we have the biological effects down, how about we speculate on the effect on our technology? From what I can see, our computers, TVs, etc. would be on the fritz for a little while, plunging us into an era of boredom and lack of technology, at least until we replace any magnetic compon...

Sound and music?
Is there any chance of there being music and sound effects in future realeses of Celestia to further create the effect of spaceflight? Maybe even a way to pilot a ship?

Wow, I come back nearly a week later to find a 3pg thread! Anyway, those tails look much better. Can anybody show me how to apply them? And by the way, I found a few comet pics: http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/newsdesk/archive/releases/2004/52/ http://wsx.lanl.gov/WebPub/images/comet-hale-bopp_wurd...

Re: Mars closeup?
Yes, unfortunately there is a lot of trash on the internet, but then again that's what you get when pea-brains get into the media....
Fortunately, I doubted this was possible or I would have to smack myself in the head all day long saying, "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Mars closeup?
Well, in that case it sounds like the e-mail I read was exaggerating (and possibly outdated). I doubted that Mars could be so big and bright anyway, unless it was 150+ times bigger than the Moon (and it definitely isn't), which would mean that it would appear as big as the Sun, which, in the case of...

Mars closeup?
I heard recently that Mars is going to be closer to Earth than it has in thousands of years and that it will be as big as the full moon by the end of the month. Did anybody else hear something like this?

Re: Unrelated subject
After reading through all the posts, I learned quite a bit about European cuisine, and all the toppings that can be used on hot dogs, sausages, etc. What also amazed me is how many posts there were! I didn't even expect to get a second page in a space forum! (Looks like I should follow my impulses a...
