Re: enlarging the Sun's size
I need to make an animation that shows the whole solar system in one frame, so I am enlarging the planets. It looks weird to have the planets larger than the sun.

enlarging the Sun's size
What's the easiest way to enlarge the Sun's size? Just write an STC file? Thanks.

Changing orbit colors
Is there a way to change the color of an individual orbit (i.e. of one spacecraft) and/or of all the orbits of a group (say, the spacecraft category)?
thanks!
thanks!

compiling on Mac OS 10.4 Tiger
Hi, I just moved to a new computer at work with MacOSx10.4 Tiger. But I'm having trouble compiling on 10.4. So I did a fresh CVS download, but I'm getting the same trouble. The main error is that a whole bunch of .h files can't be found: Cocoa.h, stddef.h, string.h, limits.h, stdio.h, etc. Any thoug...

Developing Mac OS X movie capture
I'm trying to implement some kind of synchronous movie capture-- Snapz Pro isn't cutting it because it drops so many frames at an inconsistent rate. And capturing on Windows won't really work either because I need to capture at 1920x1080. Any general pointers? And specific pointers on these topics w...

Re: changing the sun's size
Another thought: I haven't been using Partivew or Celestia that long, but I turned to Celestia for a near-earth asteroid project that I'm doing because I found it easier to pull the Harvard MPC data I needed into an .ssc file than to pull it into Partiview (I couldn't figure out how to pull into Par...

Re: changing the sun's size
yes, I got that version and I'm hoping to slowly work on a QT screencapture function for that... but I'm jumping back and forth right now between that version and 1.3.2, which I was using for a previous production project.

Re: changing the sun's size
where is that file?... can't find it in the Celestia Resources folder. I'm using the DMG on Mac, maybe it's a little different?
thanks.

changing the sun's size
I needed to enlarge the planets so they could all be seen from outside the entire solar system, so I made a temporary solarsys.ssc in which I multiplied the radius of each planet (and the moon) by 1000. I haven't been able to enlarge the sun though... I tried looking in stars.dat but it's all gibber...

Re: compiling celestia 1.3.2 on mac os 10.3.7
I installed the dev package and specified its directory when I went to configure Celestia:
./configure --with-glut --with-zlib-dir=/usr/local
I put my config.log online if you'd like a look:
http://www2.sva.edu/~arlene/3dAnim/AMNH/config.log
thanks, Arlene

Here's how I configure it ./configure --with-glut And here are the messages: checking build system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.7.0 checking host system ...

why can't mac movie capture?
is there something specific about the Macintosh that doesn't support movie capture? I was starting to try to do a build using the DevIL libraries to implement movie capture, but I'm having a hard time.... anyone have any advice on giving it a try?
