Re: Space Elevator?
Hi everyone Jeam Tag, just after reading your message, I tried to connect to my website and it seems very much alive. I was also able to download all the models that have a link on my pages and I was also able to install it and make it run on Celestia version 1.3.1 pre 11, (by the way I have to say ...

Re: www.spacepix.net

I know there are lots of video tape you can buy, but I just would like to know if some can be downloaded for free (but legally...)...

Re: Futuristic orbital platform
Hi everybody You know Redwick that's funny you mention it because I've just been working on something like that recently, a kind of orbital station linked to the earth by a space elevator. I havent't finished modelling it yet so it will take me a few days before I can released it but you can already...
Re: Mars Map
i thought about that and I did not write anything near the pole, just 40 degrees above and below the equator so that shouldn't be too distorted. And actually that is what I get when I look into Celestia with the png file exported from Photoshop, but as I said the problem is that some words are fine ...

Re: Earth satellites and comets
Yes ortolan, I thought you might liked that ! In fact I used a java soft my brother is working on. It still needs some upgrade as I would like to be able to read other types of orbital data (so I could add into Celestia some of the asteroids data I just found) but I think I'm going to release it soo...

Earth satellites and comets
I just send to Bruckner three files containing data for satellites orbiting the earth and for comets. In the first file are all the orbital elements and the models for the Iridium and Globalstar constellations which means 129 satellites with low orbits. The second one gets the geostationary satellit...
Mars Map
Hi guys, I would like to have some advice in order to create a map of Mars that could replace the cloud texture (so you could leave it or not by pressing the 'I' key). I have just finished writing the name of the most important geological areas in Photoshop but I had problems exporting it into Celes...

TLE orbital element
Hi everybody, Does anyone know how to convert .tle files in order to make new .ssc ? As I wanted to add a satellite to the earth I tried copying the values of Inclination, Arg of Pericenter etc... directly in my .ssc file but it appears that the orbits weren't matching the one I obtained with Satspy...

small improvements
I got a few suggestions in order to slightly improve celestia. First of all, the antialiasing of the contour of the planets would make them look a little bit more realistic and the shadow of Saturn on the rings would look better. Something great would also be to make the orbits smother when getting ...
