Alright...I'll keep shooting out the regular builds. If you want a HDR version, let me know.

Re: Celestia 1.6 R4241 for Mac OS X (compiled 4-5-08)

I meant will the HDR version cover requirements for both - ie. the normal version AND the HDR version (like how you can still play regular analog TV on a digital TV). If that's confusing, don't worry. You answered my question. :)

Re: Celestia 1.6pre for Mac OS X (compiled 4-5-08)

Should I do both? Or does the HDR version cover it?

ElC,

I did see that. But what is an HDR version?

Re: Celestia 1.6pre for Mac OS X (compiled 4-5-08)

Thanks, Chris. I changed to the trunk directory and typed in "svn info" and received this... Last login: Sun Apr 6 18:59:23 on console MBP17-2:~ bud$ cd trunk MBP17-2:trunk bud$ svn info Path: . URL: https://celestia.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/celestia/trunk Repository Root: https://celes...

Re: Celestia 1.5.2pre for Mac OS X (compiled 4-5-08)

Thanks, Chris. Be happy to do that. To make sure I have it right, you are saying I should put the revision number in the filename such that instead of Celestia.dmg (or Celestia 4-5-08.dmg as I wrote), I should change it to whatever form the revision number takes? Also, 2) Should I put that number an...

Re: Is there any reason to keep the CVS repository?

Thanks Selden, I tried using Terminal (the unix command line GUI for OS X)...and got this: MBP17-2:~ bud$ svn checkout https://celestia.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/celestia/trunk Error validating server certificate for 'https://celestia.svn.sourceforge.net:443': - The certificate is not issued by a ...

Re: Is there any reason to keep the CVS repository?

Thanks ElC. Am I correct to assume that's how one updates my code. But how do I get it down in the first place?

Thanks,
S

P.S. And is it me...or has this forum changed its appearance?

Re: Is there any reason to keep the CVS repository?

I've been away for awhile but just happened to stumble onto this thread. The source code has been moved? Does that mean I have to start all over with my Mac OS X monkey-button pushing way of compiling the source code? Prior, I used Terminal to download the source code then used Xcode to compile. Any...

Re: Celestia 1.5.1 features

not sure if it's a bug or an as-yet unimplemented feature...but I thought I recalled someone saying that shift-G would go to a model both in space AND time...but it doesn't do that (yet...?)

Re: Whatever happened to doctorjoe's GOTO patch?

I can't seem to find the thread - maybe it was a PM I erased - but I seem to recall one of the developers saying this GOTO functionality had ALREADY been hard-coded. If so, it's not working for me. Can anyone else confirm or deny its existence, working or otherwise?

Re: Probable Noob question

I kinda like seeing the "speedometer" - even if it is on zero. Like my car...if I stopped moving, I really wouldn't want my digital speedometer to fade out just because I wasn't moving. It would make more sense if space was at a premium... UPDATE: what I really miss is keeping the units consistent.....

P.S. Just curious how many people actually use these builds for testing (as opposed to just wanting the latest build). I can look at download numbers, but that doesn't tell me who is using for what. Lemme know...and happy New Year!
