Astronomer's paradise
http://cas.sdss.org/dr2/en/tools/places/ What is the Sloan Digital Sky Survey? Simply put, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey is the most ambitious astronomical survey ever undertaken. The survey will map one-quarter of the entire sky in detail, determining the positions and absolute brightnesses of more ...

Agree with gaselli, XML would dramatically reduce manual's maintenance efforts. But the question is how this could be implemented? Does anyone know about existing XML templates for user manual documents? With the authors permission I would try to develop the manual's maintenance guide which describe...

Re: Celestia 1.2.5 prerelease
Chris: are there changes in Celestia's scripting engine in 1.2.5 (pre)release? What about flow control commands, procedures, variables?

Re: Script generator

However I cannot understand a bug in the generated script. First object is selected but the distance is huge. Next objects processed OK. Please give me idea...

Re: Java Version of Celestia??
Little worth to spend recourses for such porting. AFAIK Celestia is C/C++ and OpenGL based application. Any hardware platform that is capable to run OpenGL probably has C compiler. So what for we need Java based Celestia?

Re: Script collection
I am very interesting to find a scripts collection. Educational or just showing great sights. Such a collection could help to set Celestia as screensaver without some little loop but long playing not-ending show. So, falks, let us share the scripts. I did not find them at bruckner's site. If need, I...
