Re: Problem with graphic features and new Nvidia Driver

You'll have to do at least one reinstall, whichever version of driver you finally wind up using. ........ Here's an abbreviated description of what has to be done from an account with administrative priv's: 1. use the Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs menu to delete the current graphics driver...

Problem with graphic features and new Nvidia Driver

Hi! I have an old (ancient), Nvidia GeForce 4600 Ti. Celestia was working fine with previous drivers then I installed 93.71 forceware and things are not working right. This is what Celestia is returning: Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Renderer: GeForce4 Ti 4600/AGP/3DNOW! Version: 1.5.7 Max simultaneous...

Why is so hard to find new images of the moon?

I'm trying to find very high resolution images of both side of the moon and it is very hard not to say almost impossible. All the images that I can find are from the 50's, 60's and early 70's, not to mention the dark side of the moon where I can only found one crappy image taken by the Lunik 3 in 19...

Sattelites

I'm taking an introductory satellite course; we are now working with orbital theory. I download the geostationary and eccentric orbit satellites from the motherload site and show that to the professor. He found it interesting and asks me to show it to the rest of the class. Next time I will keep my ...

Re: Problems viewing Earth with all its glory!!!

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that both computers have the latest detonator drivers installed. 41.09. Just to clarify the problem happens only viewing earth and only if I turn pixel shaders on. If I turn pixel shader off, I can see Earth using the high resolution texture. Without pixel shader on the...

Problems viewing Earth with all its glory!!!

I'm using version 12.5 and downloaded the 8192x4096 earth and mars textures from t00fri's Texture Foundry. First I try on my Dell laptop with a Nvidia Gforce 4 Go with 64 Mb of video RAM and everything works great. Earth and Mars looks beautiful. Then I try on my desktop computer that uses an Nvidia...

Re: What music you like to hear while using Celestia!

WOW!!! Excelent selections. You mention everything from A to Z. Perfect for my ecletical taste for music. By the way, Andrea, living in Puerto Rico give me the chance to visit the Arecibo radio telescope observatory frequently. They recently built a great museum, Smithsonian style. It will be great...

What music you like to hear while using Celestia!

I use Celestia just for entertainment (hoping to learn something is the process). One other thing that I like to do while running Celestia is to use Winamp with a selection of music like; "The Launch" and "A New World” from Boston Third Stage album, most of the tracks from Kitaro's Ancient album, al...

Now that Celestia, Do I need to buy RedShift 4?

Hi! I was really close to buy RedShift4 when I found Celestia. The questions is simple for those that are also using RedShift4, Do I really need it? or Celestia give me all what I need :?: P.D. Celestia is awsome, I'm using it with an XGA LCD projector, projecting an image of 6.2' wide by 4.8' tall....
