Re: old scripts don't work
The solar system's position is different in Celestia v1.5: the solar system's barycenter now is at the center of Celestia's coordinate system. The Sun and the planets all orbit around it. In previous versions of Celestia the Sun was positioned some 200 AU away from the center of Celestia's coordina...

old scripts don't work
Guys,
I recently started using Celestia 1.5 Mac OS. I've made a number of .cel scripts that work great with 1.4, but when I try to run them in 1.5, many of them start out at 206.27 au's distant from what ever object I'm looking at. Known bug?

Crash/Bug report
I've sent Apple my bug reports as well.... Meanwhile, my home iMac G5 runs Celestia like a charm (albeit slower that the dual G4). I have to skimp on the texmap resolution, but visiting 3D objects, old, new, big small; is not a problem. My best estimation is that the crashes started somewhere around...

Re: Old addon incompatbility with 1.4.1 in OSX?
Yes - best I can tell is we're as up to date as we're gonna get, as far as vidcard drivers.... Nvidia directs me to the Apple site, where there as no updates to be found. It seems like memory-intensive 3D addons are what's crashing me. I can't pin my crashes to the Higgins objects, however. It's fru...

Same Mac OS X crash here.
I posted a while back with the SAME CRASH! I have essentially the same dual G4 machine (with 1 GB ram vs. 2GB), and vidcard. I tried the "Ignore" fix above, but still had the crash when I try to visit ISS, or any shuttles, etc... Maybe it has to do with the OS update, somewhere along the line? If I ...

Mac crashing
Hi, I've posted thsi before, but time has passed and mayber there's more info... In Celestia 1.4.1/Mac when I "Go" to some of my 3rd pary models (ie, ISS, Apollo lander), I get about 66 km away from them and Celestia crashes and quits: This happens at the time I believe, when the "speck" turns into ...

Re: OS X 10.4.5 extras crash...
I don't have a GeForce card nor have I installed 10.4.5 so can't really confirm this issue. On first glance, it looks like an issue with the GeForce video driver. FWIW, no one seems to have reported any similar issues on the Apple mailing lists (yet?). Just my luck. :? ... kind of figured as such, ...

OS X 10.4.5 extras crash...
Using Celestia 1.4.1 and zooming in on the Atlantis space shuttle, ISS, and other 3DS models I've been using for years: When the view gets close enough to convert the object from a bright dot to a 3D model, Celestia pauses then crashes/quits. This seems to happen with most models I have had in my ex...

overbrighness
Sorry about that unspecific _stuff_ I posted earlier. The last celestia full package I installed was the "Celestia FT1.1 " version. So, the "Celestia 1.4preFT1.2ish (11-16-05)" I just installed is using resources from the FT1.1 version. When I use the "Celestia 1.4preFT1.2ish (11-16-05)" app ...

Bright galaxies?
I think I'm either seeing a bug, or need to modify my add-ons for this version. Galaxies/galactic clusters add-ons appear over bright. Turning nebulae on reduces the problem for some reason, but even then things seem too bright. Might this have to do with... " Suppressed apparent magnitude display ...

...not work with OS X 10.2.x ?
Hi,
Is it me or does the 6-29 build not work with OS X 10.2.8 as the 6-13 build does? I launch the 6-29 and nothing happens...
I'll be upgrading to 10.4 very soon, but in the meantime, I thought I'd ask!
Thanks,
Rich

DDS files on Mac
Hi,
If you are having problems displaying a DDS on a mac, it may be your video card.
Two Macs that I use have nVidia cars and do display DDS's, the other Mac has ATI and does not show DDS's.

Or more correctly, full brightness haze on the night side, sometimes with/without bright clouds as well. It's difficult for me to pinpoint the exact conditions, but it seems to happen when I have the nightside of Earth in full view at the same time the Sun and Moon are also in view. If I rotate my v...
