1. Use OS-native font render engine at least in Windows and Mac OS X version for better internationalization support especially for those CJK users.

yaohua2000 It may be possible with Windows using OpenGL's wglUseFontOutlines function, but not sure it work with other OS. As a Mac user, I did some research and it is also possible in Mac OS X. So I think to use OS-native font support to render text, or at least make it as an option and let users ...

Possible use native font instead of txf?
At least on Mac OS X, it seems that Quartz can manipulate NSOpenGLView directly, and write text with OS-native fonts. So users don't have to download and install unnecessary txf fonts. Especially for those CJK users, those fonts might be large.

Celestia causes the WHOLE system stop responding.
I've just downloaded a copy of Celestia version 1.3.2 from sourceforge.net. While I was trying to go some object, the system stop responding first, but the mouse pointer can move, after about 5 seconds, even the mouse pointer cannot move. The whole system stop responding and I've to press the Power ...
