Re: Always 60Hz refresh rate in full-screen (solved)

If you bring up the Display Properties control panel (I'm assuming you're running on Windows) and click the advanced button, you'll see a dialog box with a bunch of different options for your graphic...

Have you looked into any of these?

I sometimes change just the texture on a star for the screenshot.

Tleilax,
What sort of texture? What ssc refers to this texture? The dimensions, type and name of the texture involved and what sort of ssc you've created are important to know. Is this for your Dune project?

Hengchun, Have you seen any of the forum posts re:Celestia1.4.0pre6? Your graphics card may support the OpenGL 2.0...if so...your Celestial reality would include being able to use the directory stucture you spoke of (extras by the addons "directions"). Re: MINI TUTORIAL: how to eliminate the PINCH effect at poles
Thanks for the quick response. It should have been obvious to me that an image would have to be included in step_4, oops... The "illusion" would be somewhat like Selden's A Map Plane for Celestia http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/map-plane.html which is still pretty cool. SteveC.

Re: MINI TUTORIAL: how to eliminate the PINCH effect at poles
So, is it possible to use the "actual photos of the pole regions" Fridger spoke of (or any such photographed regions) as part of the layering of images, steps 7 thru 9, from ElChristou? Im trying to create sort of an "illusion" of greater detail...

Celestia on drive D and textures
I recently changed the cfg file to run extras folder from my D drive. So far so good, everything seems great. My question is... does the following ssc in some way change the colours of a particular texture? Celestia opens to this earthview just fine, yet when I had it installed to the Celestia/textu...

Have you created an ssc file for this VT?
Example-
AltSurface "m46 shaded JPG" "Sol/Mars"
{
Texture "m46shaded JPG.ctx"
# NormalMap "m46Normal PNG.ctx"
}
