Re: how do I change a stars atmosthere?
I am interested in the atmosphere as the default is a boring and unrealistic thin line around the star. But rthorvalds is really thick and looks a lot better. I thought that somewhere there must be a file that determines a stars appearance, like the solarsys.ssc determines how the planets look like ...

adding addons
volcom9155 If its a Deep Space Objects (extrasolar) addon like a nebula for instance then just unzip it in the "extras" folder which is "CelestiaResources" folder. It is advisable to create a folder called "Addons" or whatever you like so you can move them out of the way if you are updating to a lat...

how do I change a stars atmosthere?
the default atmosphere for a star is a bit unreal, so how do change it so it looks like rthorvalds sun addon. like you can change the texture used (astar.jpg)

Animating the volcanos of Io!?
I've downloaded rthorvalds sun addon and it gave me the idea of animating Io's volcanos. I thought of creating an earth style volcano shaped donught and wrapping a texture around it so that it comes up though the centre, down the sides, underneath towards the centre and up the middle again. Would th...

Re: My updated Titan texture (2k)
I would like to say that t00fri has done a brilliant job on that texture.
but, i was thinking until we get more data could someone make an imaginary version based on current data and fill the gaps so it looks nice and complete, like that artists impression of sedna.

Re: My lights are on during the day!
I forgot to mention that the planet that is not illuminated is earth and our solar system i have seen it work on other computers but not mine. Ive took a picture of europe (as it has the most light) with no cloud maps and half lit and half dark and it is not visible on the night side i would post it...

My lights are on during the day!
My nightmaps work but at the wrong time as they only appear on the day side of the planet, the night side is just black. is there any way around it?

Re: What is your favourite planet?
I like most of the planets, but venus is hell, literally. If anybody lives in England they'd probably seenspace oddessy on BBC 1 which is a futuristic documenty drama thing which shows a group of astronoughts travel to every planet except Mercury and does a scientifically correct representation of t...

Re: Can you fold a piece of paper more than seven times?
tf00i i don't understand the equation because I'm not to good at Math's but i know that at every fold the thickness doubles so at the 8th fold it is 128 times thicker than when you started then 256, 512 etc I do know what the saying is trying to say, I was being silly. I think it's saying that it is...

Re: saturn is a vampire! it has no shadow
Selden Did you see the shadows before you upgraded to 10.3.6? No I didn't see ring shadows before I upgraded to 3.6 or on Celestia 1.3.1 or 1.3.2-1. I would probably update my graphics card but my computer is a fixed unit (i cannot be opened or updated. I would have to buy a new computer. thanks David
