isn't that t he real question.... sorry.. away for a looooooooooooooooong time. Rao would be in a distant galaxy... and tha's not allowed in Celestia... yet... right? not even.. for... one star...? and .. one planet? but, Apokolips would look great in celestia too... ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Thanks
Thanks.. i was wondering about that.. though, i've never heard or read it...(just more the disspersal of light) The beam of photons being more like a river, or cloud of energy releaset in any particular direction. This would fit the idea of it, as a form of energy, moving in waves (not that i'm sayi...

wait, wait.. wait.
i know this... and believe me, it's still logical, however... i have a question.... ever look at some friends with flashlights in a valley while you were in a mountain? the light that comes from the flashlight is vastly dispersed by air, dust etc. Is its speed reduced at all? The originating point, ...

want an answer
No, i wasn't asking the questions to evade an answer. Living on Earth, there are many variables that affect our existence. One or two might be singled out.. but, if all of them factor in our existence, is it logical to leave the other things out? My question is when we determine the motion of all th...

Um...Ok
Ok... so, what if what we're observing is really a change in the shape of the Local group or a gravitational bubble of sorts (possibly the expansion or c ontraction of the Solar Wind.. like a lens)? How do we KNOW that we're seeing the motion of these galaxies if the light is "billions of years" old...

Is it me?
Is it me.. or did they forget the steam, the rush of atmosphere(wild storms, atmospheric waves e tc), resulting earthquakes, tsunamis, Missile launches (unfortunately, couldn't that be a problem) or waves of land as the thing obviously, smashed pretty deep into the crustt. What about tidal effects b...

a Sphere?
Well, unless we start to study the universe from more than one point at a time (for instance four separtate satellites working in unison from great enough distances), our observation methods are basically, spherical. At any one point a sattelite has to rotate to get a full perspective based on its b...

Thanks
Yeah.. i was wondnering if computer models were being used as the time differential due to the speed of light, the distance it has to travel, gravity, dark matter, etc etc.. come into play. Thanks for your answer... back to the research.

No..not really..
This, i knew... i was referring to how we determine what particular motion is being observed.. when nearly all we're observing is moving.. and not, in the same direction? For example, that everything's expanding, when we're moving in one direction, the solar system is moving in its direction, the mi...

Red shift amidst all this motion?
Okay, here's a question, i've always wanted to have answered... maybe i'm an idiot.. ut, i'd still like to know the answer. Amidst all the motion of worlds, stars, stellar systems, galaxies, galactic clusters, helixes of galactic clusters etc.... how do w e know what specific motion is being recorde...

Just a Craaaaaaaaazy thought
I know many people here might think this is schtoopitz.. but, here's a question... God tells Noah... there'll be a flood in 120 years... Being far enough away from the impact zone... Noah might not have recorded that God used a big rock to initiate the deed. Did God say 120 years because it would ta...

Useful LOL
The considerations of the universe aren't useless, the arguing may be. If something is, well, it is. If it isn't, well, it isn't. But, if we don't know... we have something to attain. Many arguments are funny to me... "Does life need death to exist?" obviously, not.. it may use it to its own ends bu...

As an artist..
As an artist, i've always wondered why scientists haven't made greater attempts at... "realism" in this respect. If we know the Galactic center of Andromeda.. and have the power to view galaxies even more distant.. then.. IMHO we should be able to map Andromeda.. to some degree.. allowing us to 'gro...
