I have the latest version 1.3.2, but that star is not oblate in my Celestia. Have I missed something?

Aha! That suggests that you didn't include the SSC directive Class "planet" If you don't specify the type of object, then Celestia assumes a body with a radius of less than 1000 km is an asteroid. Okay I changed the radius to above 1000 and now it's in the same list as the others.. strange logic
