Re: Celestia Excel Content Builder Update
After a lot of head scratching as I'm not that well up on Astronomy maths, I updated the Orbital period Calculator section so it will now compute ordbit times for Satellites of planets as well as planets moving around a star. Also on this update, I removed the "months" setting from the orb...

Re: Celestia Excel Content Builder
Thanks I noticed yours after completing the first stage... Unearthed another bug with a protected cell that stopped the oblateness data being "injected". If there is enough demand I might do a "Data" reversal whereby users can save data from STCs or SSC in another spreadsheet for...

Anyone got a Star Magnitudes in Excel formula?
Hello there folks, Been trying to work on a conversion utility that inputs data from Astrosynthesis into Celestia. However I have a bit of a problem in that Astrosythesis uses linear brightness for stars based on the sun. Therefore:- 1.0=Sol 2.0= twice as bright as Sol 4.0 = four times as bright as ...

Orbit frame "tracking"
Hello there folks, bit of strange query this but I'm trying to get to grips with understanding how the orbit and body frames work. Anyhow it is possible in the sci-fi sense to get a geostationary satellite to "track" an incoming object and point at it? I've a feeling it would involved the ...

Hello there folks, Relatively new here to Celestia.. Anyhow as a Sci-fi writer artist I found it an amazing discovery....up until this point I was trying to visualise how my "universe" would look but this is so much better. Anyhow to cut a long story short I decided I needed to bang in som...
