First of all because the Latin names are universally accepted and recognized, and second because they are easily coupled with the relevant achronyms I completely agree with you ....but you can't forbid me some fun :wink: There are only few names that differ from theyr achronyms...it's easy to remem...

in the latest version of celestia i found your star...
it's called Achird B...
and Procyon B is there too...
when u select a star an you see "planetary companion present", you should click on Navigation_Solar system browser...
you'll find what you're looking for..bye[/img]

I tried to convert some jpg to dds with the "Nvdxt" converter using this command line
nvdxt -file c:\*.jpg
All the new images came out in blue hue!!
(a new way to make a jupiterlike texture )
what is the right command line to obtain a perfect conversion????

You won't believe me.....I'm Italian too :P I made a translation...I italianized the file "asterisms.dat" and I changed some constellations' diagrams to make them more recognizable ( :oops: even though they aren't "official shapes" I like them :wink: ) Have a Look:!
