you are right, i am using suse 7.3. at the moment i have mesa and mesaglut installed from the original installation.

i did install everything from one distribution. what i think ist strange is that i found an rpm of celestia v 1.2.0, in on of the forums on shatters.net and it worked perfectly. i mean, there are not to much things different, but i just would like to have the newest version installed..... but thanks...

hi, this is probably a stupid question. i don't actually think it is a bug, but i am still kind of a linux newbie. when i start the "configure" script which is delivered with version 1.2.2, it always exits displaying the following error: (...) checking for GL/gl.h... yes checking for glNewList in -l...
