Re: Distance Problem when trying to create a star
Aye selden you caught me there. I didn't read the FAQ. going to change that right now. Thanks 4 the answer anyway. That 16k LY limit is a shame, cause i wanted to place my sunsystems at the "real" points in space where they are in the SciFi novel i read. Well then i will just have to change my plans...

Distance Problem when trying to create a star
Hi, i am using Celestia 1.3.1 on a Windows 98 SE machine. I tried to create a new star system at a distance of 30816 LY from Earth and encountered a problem. After the creation of the *.stc and *.ssc files Celestia knows the star and planets and their positions, but when i execute GoTo, it will go w...

Re: How do I put multiple objects in the same orbit?
Thanks grant,
now the universe will beginn to have some real nice new solar systems in the near future.
What a shame with the binaries. Well i just have to find out how a planet in the cg of 3 "suns" will look like.

Is there a way to group stars and assign name to this group?
Is there a feature in Celestia that let's select you a group of stars and put a lcommon label on them? And especially would allow it to assign a color to them? So that they could be seen in the galaxy map? I was thinking about creating stellar empires and thus somehow marking their sphere of influen...

How do I put multiple objects in the same orbit?
Well i am a newbie but so far i was alright. Now i have a problem that i want to create a star system of my own. In this system i want to place 2 or more planets into the same orbit. Like in this old SciFi novells where another earth orbits, at the same orbit, behind the sun. Now i don't have figure...
