Re: The ultimate Earth VT
Hi Fridger! Yes I wrote that, too. But I have not yet made a 'distribution' of it. So I make it available only to "close friends" for now. To compile it, one has to first install the latest CVS DevIL libs etc. I have no time to deal with people's NOGO complaints. This is strictly 'developer level' s...

The ultimate Earth VT
Do you know what is the largest Earth texture available from the net? Most of you would probably say that the answer is 45k (?) texture that's used to build most of our current Earth VTs. Well, you would be wrong. :) The largest Earth texture that has more or less complete coverage of continental pa...

Re: My second .cel script (Galileo)
I apologize for not responding right away. Toti: Thanks for the quick reply! I (ok, the perl script) did some careful event selection but the goal was to give a complete overview of most (if not all) of the Galileo mission events. This was not ment to be a short and beautiful 'Jovian moons flyby scr...

My second .cel script (Galileo)
This is my second attempt at Celestia .cel scripting. While .cel scripts are easy to learn and write, they are really not well suited for a more complex projects so, as is the case with my last .cel script(s), this one is 100% computer generated :) This time I wanted to build a perl script that woul...

Re: my first .cel script

I made a few updates: - corrected the location-too-large bug - better rotation code - things are now even smoother - much better randomization code ... and a few suprises :) You can see the results here: http://student.fizika.org/~dsvilko/random2.cel http://student.fizik...

Hello! Please, take a look at http://student.fizika.org/~dsvilko/explore.cel.gz or http://student.fizika.org/~dsvilko/explore.cel This is my first script so please, be gentle :) The script is quite large but it is probably the fastest written Celestia script to this day - it was written in 0.18 seco...
