go to display properties->settings->advanced->troubleshoot->hardware acceleration->none
It works under WindowsXP, and will work under Windows2000 I think.
I have similar problem with my VIA/S3 KM266 chip, and it's because S3 make really bad drivers...

Re: Crash in Full-Screen
Off-topic: Why this forum tends to forget me after a very short time? I have to log-on almost each time I browse this forum. ============================================== I have an idea how to solve this issue: Is there a way to activate "safe mode" via command-line? If yes, then I have a possible ...

Re: UnInstaller Icon in XP
Yes, I helped someone else, and that someone is the Audacity program, which is also a part of TheOpenCD disrto. I trying to push the same for GTK+/GIMP, but for now it is no go. I am doing some bug-testing and Quality Assurance of our CD, so by helping underlying "components" (OSS projects) be of hi...

Re: UnInstaller Icon in XP
I have many with the same problem, but they have one common denominator - InnoSetup Compiler. >Problem is... I don't think anyone knows how to fix it. Well, I know. Just add 1 line of code to the InnoSetup scripts under [setup] write: UnInstallDisplayIcon="{app}\Celestia.exe" And thank you very much.

Re: UnInstaller Icon in XP
1) The best is to put the dev version in the download section. and tell about it with warnings. 2) I have downloaded 1.3.2pre7, and the installer thinks it's pre6, and in "about" i see it as 1.3.1. he he. 3) UnInstall icon problem was NOT fixed, in what I downloaded. be it 1.3.1, 1.3.2pre6, or 1.3.2...

Re: Crash in Full-Screen
Well, Full-Screen works in software mode. (and still almost OK, the program is still useful. Most games becomes dog-slow - less than 1 fps..., and many refuses to run in software) selden wrote: "Bear in mind that Celestia has to depend on the OpenGL library being relatively bug-free. Re: Crash in Full-Screen
OK, I like Celstia very much, but replacing a video card is too much... Think about laptops - most people can't buy a new laptop, just because Celestia doesn't run on it. (while most laptops have cheap integrated graphics) I understand perfectly that nVidia is a much better option, but you have to u...

Apparently the Celestia installer is trashed.
If it was build using InnoSetupScript then it need to add 1 line of code.

You start Celestia in Windowed mode, then you can toggle modes.
Use:
Render->Toggle Full Screen (or Alt+Enter)
