Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia
Gironde... in COSMOS 2237 SSC file... TLE DATA from NORAD gives the orbital elements for the Earth Mean Equator... not for Ecliptic... so there in SSC file no need to write Orbit frame... Celestia will use the Earth Mean Equator by default...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia
Hi Toutatis. I just tested your TESS model, very nice, but it has a bit cahotic rotation. So I checked the ssc file, and I found that Orientation is "[ 250 1 0 0 ]" instead of "270 1 0 0" that produces a rotation around TESS longitudinal axis. What is the correct axis angle, 250...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia
I looked at these 3 sites and I find that they give conflicting definitions even in their own lines. They talk about the 2 focus points but we never know them. If you know the definition of semimajoraxis that goes well with Celestia, I'm interested. Hi Gironde... problem only that I do not know Eng...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia
I was attentive to what you emphasize but that's what I find on wikipedia: Half-major axis a : half of the distance between the pericenter and the apocenter (the largest diameter of the ellipse). This parameter defines the absolute size of the orbit. It only makes sense in the case of an elliptical...
