Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

Here the new orbits for the asteroids Bennu and Ryugu... SSC and XYZV-files... ( SSC-file for Ryugu was corrected )... and in the pictures below you can see OSIRIS-REx spacecraft and Bennu with this orbit of asteroid... But! You need to know that still no one know the real diameter of Bennu... and s...

Today (soon) I will prepare the orbit with "timeline" for 101955 Bennu... otherwise OSIRIS-REx will never reach the goal of the mission in the Celestia space... but this what I have currently... "101955 Bennu:Bennu" "Sol" { Class "asteroid" Mesh &quo...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

Texture for the 1 stage of Pegasus XL I made by myself.... because original texture with a not correct American flag (it is about stars)... too bad I did not found the picture of the Pegasus logo (usually it is on the fairing), so I used original texture for it, which with some small problem... Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

Note: 1. As part of the addon, a temporary version of the ssc file, which orientates Pegasus SWR in an upright position. This is not true, tk. start occurs from the belly of the aircraft L-1011 Stargazer. 2. In the Kepler parameters panel, the altitude is ~ 800 km. At this altitude of 61 km the thi...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

The Pegasus is an air-launched rocket developed by Orbital Sciences Corporation (now part of Northrop Grumman Innovation System after Northrop Grumman acquired Orbital ATK). Capable of carrying small payloads of up to 443 kilograms (977 lb) into low Earth orbit, Pegasus first flew in 1990 and remain...

With this SSC-file... IRIS(sat) will oriented well... but I made rotation with period ( 0.1)... If you not want rotation around Z-axis... you can use Period zero....(0.0) "IRIS(sat):Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph" "Sol/Earth" { Class "spacecraft" Mesh "iris....

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

IRIS (sat) is better aligned in the direction of the Sun with: Orientation [120 1 0 0] but not quite. Maybe the original model is misaligned with respect to the z axis. With the .cmod file, we can no longer intervene with Blender. In the picture of wikipedia, the telescope is on the z axis. Is it p...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

I think that in Celestia, you have to call it IRIS (sat) so as not to confuse it with Iris: 7 Iris: 1847-7 in the search area.
yes, Gironde... you are right..

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

The Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS), also called Explorer 94, is a NASA solar observation satellite. The mission was funded through the Small Explorer program to investigate the physical conditions of the solar limb, particularly the chromosphere of the Sun. The spacecraft consists of a...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

It is truly the orbit of the satellite around the Moon which is displayed and not the curve drawn in relation to its absolute spatial position unrelated to the Moon.

that is funny... the orbit of GRAIL was changed several times during mission....
