Re: Latest high-res Jupiter Map
"Accuracy" on a gas giant that is dynamic, and constantly changing is virtually non existant. Boux your texture is a very nice effort, but i do agree that it is too high contrast for my taste. What i think most people are looking for is a Cassini quality picture. That doesnt mean it has to be "accur...

Re: An FAQ on DDS files for Windows users
Thank you for the quick reply. I didnt think about hardware resolution limitations. That indeed explains alot. Also how do most of the artist here create 16k+ textures if hardware doesnt support it? While my 6600 may not be able to, Surely most newer SLI cards can more than handle a 16k texture. Ill...

Hiya Don,
I know this is an old thread, but i just wanted to comment on the excellent work done here. I use both your earth, and mars textures as primarys. Hope to see some more work like this in the future from you.

Re: Saturn(ish) higher resolution map (warning: big graphic)
This is some excelent work. Im new to Celestia, and these forums, and i must say all of the artist here are doing some amazing things. To comment on the "Blue hat". It seems to be only a seasonal thing on Saturn. When Voyager flew by Saturn was in its northern "fall" season, and the rings were almos...
