Celestia 1.2.5 is a few days behind because I've been sick . . . Sorry for the delays, but it'll be worth it. And no Warcraft III for me until 1.2.5 is out :)

Re: really dumb question
Assuming you're compiling the original source and not your modified version (I'm not going to help you debug your code :O]), it looks like you've got a similar error to what I had, i.e. one of your project files is corrupted. Try building each of the projects individually. For whichever one the erro...

Celestia channels
Anyone thought about making a Celestia irc channel? It could be put on the planetarion network (a game I play) which is similar in lines to the subject matter, or one of the normal networks like dalnet.
Or does one already exist? :o

Any changes made to the code means that module at least has to be rebuilt, and you may need to rebuild the entire project for it to work. Good luck getting further tho, I'm still stuck with linker errors (HELP) What linker errors are you getting? Are you missing the lib files for the JPEG and PNG l...

Re: really dumb question
You need to load the entire Celestia project in VC++, which is celestia.dsw in the \src dir. If it doesn't load, open it in notepad - if everything seems to be on one line and there are funny black blocks everywhere, then replace the contents of the file with this: Microsoft Developer Studio Workspa...

Re: Lense flare
Feasible yes, but there was opposition voiced the last time this issue was raised. It seems the people want realism, not fancy effects.
Personally I'm not swayed either way - it'd be nice to have, but these effects take time to implement which could be used doing perhaps even cooler things :O[]

Did it compile beforehand? Compiling celestia in VC++ is a bit of a pain (I've yet to manage it). How did you try and compile it?

*bump*
Surely someone must have had this? I haven't changed any of the code, and whichever way I slice it it invariable runs into problem linking files which don't exist in the /release or /debug directory.

More VC++ Woes
Trying to get Celestia up and running in a VC++ environment. I've loaded the project files successfully, but when I come to build it favorites.cpp spits out 158 linker warnings, and then finally dies with: BSCMAKE: error BK1506 : cannot open file '.\Release\imagecapture.sbr': No such file or directo...

AGP
On inspection of the exact specs of my motherboard, I've discovered that my AGP speed is 2X rather than the 4X I believe my GeForce2 Pro 64MB can support. How likely is this to slow up my enjoyment of Celestia?

You didn't include the file you are using for your clouds, which is the bit I'm most interested in :O)
