Re: Mobile Celestia for Android

gotta say i do not know how emulators work Maybe I can show you the website for BlueStacks. There's probably some info there: https://www.bluestacks.com Of course it's primarily focused on high-quality android games. But of course, the essentials apply I’d still advise using a real device. maybe it...

Re: Mobile Celestia for Android

This is weird, cause onetwothree got it to load and the “crash” happened while in use. Well, I am using an emulator called BlueStacks, so it may operate a bit differently then from using an actual Android Phone. But whether the crashed happen before usage or during usage, that has to be fixed. In f...

Re: Mobile Celestia for Android

I can attest that while I have downloaded the app, it crashes even before I can see stuff in there. This is probably what onetwothree encountered so until that is fixed, I am unable to continue further

Re: Celestia Worldbuilding Project

With all the strife caused by the CelWP both here and on Discord (and I apologize for being a major part of those arguments), I'm really more interested in seeing the stellar distributions for galaxies and the NGC 604 sprite model that will be coming... Anyway, on to the worldbuilding! Well, as muc...

Celestia Worldbuilding Project

Deleted posts archived here . (Edited due to new changes) Greetings to all Celestians! This project has been revealed to us before but it was deemed not capable of being fulfilled because of a lot of problems that members have encountered. So, we have deliberated on the future of the project, until...

Re: Lafuente_Astronomy's Addons

Here is something new from me: The Triangulum Galaxy's Central Black Hole Actually, no such black hole has been discovered there as of yet. But measurements of the core of the Triangulum Galaxy suggest that the possible central black hole in there will measure only around 3000 solar masses. Thus, it...

Ahhhh. Thanks for the information

Re: What Galaxy Should CelWP be based in?

The concern is that M33 is smaller and has less real-life data, allowing for more creativity in Worldbuilding. This is just wrong on so many levels. How does a smaller galaxy allow for more creativity? Also it is not true that M33 has less real-life data, unless you can find a source for it. 1: Sim...

Re: OW Geminorum, an unusual star system

That is indeed, an interesting system. However, I wonder about this: However, they say it's possible that OW Geminorum was once a triple system and two stars in a close binary system merged. Wouldn't the 2 stars that merge actually destroy themselves and create a compact star instead? But since I do...

Re: Visual Extinction in Celestia?

Hey Fafers_br, this is a really good idea. Who knows how many high-mass stars in dusty OB associations could be better rendered if this change were to be added. Have you thought of a good way to add interstellar reddening as well? As we know, stars appear not just dimmer, but redder when obscured b...

Nice! And in time too! Some new members of the Discord Server are wondering if there would be such a release, and we've assured them that there is. As always, keep up the good work! Can't wait to download this in both my phone and emulator once it's done

Re: Lafuente_Astronomy's Addons

Alright, here is my first release of a pre-existing addon, which is not mine but I felt had to be released separately. This is Russell's Teapot, named after the English Philosopher Bertrand Russell, who made that statement as a refutation against dogmatists and religious people alike with regards to...

A reminder to protect yourself from the Coronavirus

Hello everyone. Lafuente_Astronomy here with a non-Celestian but very relevant message This SARS-CoV-2_without_background.png Is what we have to deal with right now As we all know, right now, the Coronavirus is currently ravaging the entire world. Re: Project Sisyphus - Texturing/painting every exoplanet known

Other members do make exoplanet textures, which will presumably be part of the project. Actually, when Gurren first mentioned this on Discord, I thought it would be a single, frequently updated addon supplementing Sirius_Alpha's exoplanet catalog, that would just modify each planet to have a textur...
