We need to decide on something now; it's 2020. Should all the addons we've posted here be migrated to the Motherlode?
The last post was made five months ago; the maximum "no post" limit before necromancy was suggested to be six months to a year so hopefully you'll find it okay that I'm going to add a post here. The Celestia Motherlode is, sadly, nearly dead. The moderators don't seem to be accepting any m...

One of the people there told me that they did not want me in the Discord, but that's fine with me.Anthony_B_Russo10 wrote:It has nothing to do with you, don't worry about that.

Is that script the same as mine?SevenSpheres wrote:Okay, I just tested the script with Celestia 161-ED and it works fine for me there as well. There's no issue with Aldebaran or Antares, either.

I am using Celestia 1.6.1.-ED, the one this script was especially designed for (though it still works with original 1.6.1. and 1.7.0.)SevenSpheres wrote:Just to be sure, what version of Celestia are you using this with?

Re: Updated script not working
I don't get any errors when I run the script, however some parts of the script seem to be broken. Specifically, at the parts of the script that go to Aldebaran and Antares, Celestia zooms in to each of the stars shown, apparently going inside them. This is fixed when the next star comes up, except ...

Updated script not working
I decided to edit and update Marco Klunder's Star Size Comparison script, however, when I did so and started up Celestia, an error came up that said an "=" is missing near a "»". I ran both the original and updated code through a text difference finder and found no missing "...

Request: Predicted orbits of Neptune by Adams and Le Verrier
I'd like to add the predicted positions and orbits of Neptune as theorized by Adams and Le Verrier to Celestia to make a nice comparison. Unfortunately I cannot find the orbital parameters online. Could someone please do so for me? Thanks.

And I'm not surprised that they didn't accept your reasoning, considering that you are a person who is infamous on Wikipedia for having a large amounts of sockpuppets and meatpuppets, which is against Wikipedia's rules. As for me editing Wikipedia itself, I don't actually have the technical knowled...

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread
Today marks the first time for me using Celestia 1.7.0. I decided to keep my older Celestia 1.6.1.-ED and thus I have both. Both are based on the exact same program files and their folder. However, when I tried giving 1.7.0. a custom .ttf font, it wouldn't work and no text would show up on the scree...

I have a new Jupiter texture that is from before any spacecraft visited the planet that could be added if you like Thanks for the Jupiter texture! nowhere does it say that the emission area extends out to 2000 Rsol. And even if it does, this can still only be confirmed in the infrared. That's exact...

Re: Astronomers will be able to image Earth-like planets by 2025
Finally we can get good images of alien worlds and get good renders based on prior imagery rather than just make up random designs based purely on speculation without a source.
This might mean we could even get good renders of Planet Nine/Persephone/Telisto without sending a probe there!

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated December 30, 2019
Joey P., Celestia Origin includes a file with the 10 largest stars as of December 2018. Oh, sorry about that; I wasn't keeping up with this project and lost interest in downloading it. Thanks for informing. The radii you list are older than that; if anything the file should be updated, not replaced...
