Re: Shuttle and ISS site down!

Sorry, but, are you referring to the Discovery model with the open payload bay, and the same model coupled with ISS, and the ISS as a separate model? If that's the case, those may very well be the same models featured in the "General add-ons pack" for Celestia's Educational Activities by Frank Grego...

Re: New Shuttle...

"My" Earth with Jestr's MkII VT and Don Edwards' cloud shadows is pretty heavy already on my pc. I wonder if it'll be able to handle that and your "opened" Atlantis together.
Amazing model.

How did you manage to have those clouds in the last picture?
And that beautiful reflection in the first one on the left second row?

What is your language? Perhaps somebody here can speak it and make it much simpler to help you.

Re: New Shuttle...

Eagerly waiting for your complete work. Can't wait to see a version with transparent windows and cockpit ...with astronauts drinkin' coke wearing sunglasses (you should make the brand readable) and having a poker match at zero G :D

Re: Help with Moon addon

I think you should create a text file to rename something like "moon vt.ctx" and put it in Celestia --> texture --> hires folder ( if you put the moon vt texture folders there, that is). Text in "moon vt.ctx" should be like this: VirtualTexture { ImageDirectory "put here the name of the folder with ...

Re: Celestia 1.4.0 prerelease FAQ

I hope I'm not posting a stupid question, but: does Celestia 1.4.0 prereleases support haze for ATI cards?

Re: New Shuttle...

1st question: is it really possible to place the point of view inside of the cockpit in Celestia? And if so, how? (Anyway it sounds pretty nice to take some pictures of earth through the sidewindows of your Atlantis). 2nd question: the model seems pretty complex, so, if the answer to question1 is ne...

Very very interesting ...but I would turn off galaxy rendering.
I would also be quite curious about what graphic card do you use.

Re: Driver problem - anisotropic filtering

It does help me :) I had the same problem in trying to identify what anisotropic filter did, compared to antialias, and if it worked at all in Celestia, since I have an ATI card.

Re: New Shuttle...

Couldn't resist to see how it looked like on my pc. Actually I didn't see the problems your were talking about in the front view. neither I saw any real problem of bad polys around the cockpit. It's just that the windows are more reflective and so they tend to show the pattern of the polygons below ...

Re: New Shuttle...

The model so far looks great and very promising. Will there be a versione with the open bay? In the current model of the Endeavour, one of the most interesting features are the seethrough windows on the roof and towards the bay interior. Those details alone add so much realism. In close pictures jus...

No problems at all. Just thought I could help by reporting a few minor issues I happened to come across while using Celestia enhanced with your works, for which I thank you :)

Re: Celestia Now Has Pseudo-Cloud Shadows!!!!!!!!

Cloud shadow is an overlay map, so I guess it should be stationary. No movement at all. So 0 for cloud speed in solarsys.ssc If you're not convinced try to copy your cloud speed settings under the string for the cloud shadow map and see what happens. Anyway moving clouds add nothing to realism since...

Re: Educational Activities - updated - now on Motherlode

Hi Mr Gregorio. Educational activities along with general add-ons package, were the first extra files I downloaded and installed on Celestia 1.3.2 a few months ago, when I found out about this excellent software. Flying around, though, I noticed that, modified with all those those add-ons I cited ab...

Re: Celestia Now Has Pseudo-Cloud Shadows!!!!!!!!

Hallo everybody. I'll try to cut it short. It's some months now I'm using Celestia, needless to say it's the most beautiful piece of software I've ever laid my eyes on. The fact that such a thing is freeware, is just plain unbeliveable. Anyway, I guess I'll talk about how amazed I am another time, n...
