Re: No more galaxies in Pre7
I think it the other way around, in Pre 7 when i first installed it, the galaxies where missing, and Galaxies.dat was fine. But in the Celestia.CFG it was looking for galaxies_and_clusters.dat so you can do one of two things... 1: rename the galaxie.dat to... Galaxies_and_clusters.dat . or 2: open u...

Re: Galaxies.dat update: 863 galaxies including Virgo Cluster
Save the text as a text file.
then rename it too Galaxies.dat and replace the old one.
If you want proof, you can open the old Galaxies.dat with Notepad.

Re: Quaoar
Well now im really confused
I always thought that pluto was our ninth planet.
and Celestia treats it as such.
And the news said we have found our tenth planet, Quaoar.

Re: more colorful galaxies
I have a question ? In the photo of our galaxy (the one with "you are here" on it) If that is our galaxy, and the furthest space probe we have out is Voyager. How did we get that picture ? Please don't flame me too hard, if this is a very silly question. I honestly don't know. http://www.astro.umd.e...

Quaoar
Quaoar isn't treated the same as the other planets
when i turn on planet orbits, all the orbit rings apear for all the planets, except Quaoar, unless you select Quaoar.
also can the 0 (zero) key be made to select Quaoar
as we have H for our sun ?

My sky view is extremely limited around here in London, England.
Tall buildings and tons of light polution, make it very difficult.![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Re: Pluto orbit
I was told it has a elongated orbit, that causes it to freeze and thaw then heat up, and so on ![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)
