Re: New Jestr Moons sites

My questions are 1: are any of these moons models locked to the JPG texture, as some of your previous models where. (can i convert the texture to DDS and...

Re: Grant, small request

The problem is I havent seen the original textures for Celestia for a long time. as soon as a large high quality texture is available, that becomes my delault texture, and in the bin goes the old one But im not asking this for myself as my skills as a texture creator, are virtually zero but as i sai...

Re: DDS files

A DDS file is a graphics file just like any other BMP, JPG,..... except it can't be viewed by most graphice editors or viewers. DDS is nvidias own compressions format. Its also the best format to use with Celestia 90 percent of all my textures are DDS, large or small. it has somthing to do with the ...

Re: Bad News! Very Bad News!! Update!!!!!!!!! 8O

Good news! It is my install of Windows XP that is causing the problem. The hardware all works fine. Actually the card flies. I was able to throw several large textures at it and use 8x anti-aliasing and still use Celestia ok. Although using the 8x setting does slow the frame-rate down some. So as s...
