Re: ChrisLaurel@SkyGuide
As Chris has been completely absent from here (not even replying to emails when I've reported bugs), just a few weeks ago I was pondering what he might be so busy with.
These thoughts coincided with a period of clear skies here, where I was actually making a rare effort over a few nights to recognize some of the more prominent constellations, and memorize the names of the stars forming them...
... and I thought at the time:
True story.
Surprised though that he hasn't promoted it here.

Wouldn't it be great to have an app on your phone leveraging Celestia's "planetarium" capabilities with the location and orientation awareness capabilities of the phone, so that you could point your phone at the sky and find out about what you're seeing. Aha! I'll bet that's what Chris is up to!
True story.
Surprised though that he hasn't promoted it here.

*Only* for Apple devices? That sucks.
And payware too. Sucks even more.
Whatever makes people happy, I guess.

Considering that not everyone is so willing to freely hand out personal bank account information willy-nilly considering all the hackers out there willing to intercept these transactions, yes we're for real.Chuft-Captain wrote:Are you guys for real?$0.99
